Archalla was a town of ancient Cappadocia inhabited during Roman times. Its site lies near Erkilet, in the Kocasinan district of Kayseri, and the settlement is thought to have been inhabited continuously into the present, with its ancient name preserved in modern Erkilet. The facade of the Mehmed Paşa Mosque in Erkilet was built partly by reusing ancient remains as spolia.
