Mnizos (Mnizus) was a small town of ancient Galatia, lying between Lagania (Beypazarı) and Ancyra (Ankara). The emperor Anastasius is thought to have lived here for a time, since several of his edicts in both the Codex Theodosianus and the Codex Justinianeus are dated from this place. It also appears as a bishopric in the Notitiae Episcopatuum.
