Editor's Note
Cinolis (Kinolis) was a small Greek harbour town on the coast of ancient Paphlagonia. According to the historian Arrian it lay 180 stadia west of Stephane, while the geographer Marcian of Heraclea placed it only 150 stadia to the west; the nearby town of Anticinolis was 80 stadia away. It is located today at Ginolu Cove, about 3 km west of the Çatalzeytin district of Kastamonu.
