Dios Hieron (Dioshieron), Greek for 'Sacred precinct of Zeus', was a settlement in ancient Ionia between Lebedos and Colophon. Known as 'Kasura' in the Hittite period, 'Dioshieron' to the Ionians and 'Kesre' to the Ottomans, the place took the name 'Özdere' in the 1960s. The city was a member of the Delian League, appearing in the Athenian tribute records between 454/3 and 416/5 BC, while an Athenian decree of 427/6 BC shows it was at that time dependent on Colophon.
