Physkos was an ancient harbour city in the Rhodian-administered part of ancient Caria (the Rhodian Peraea), located today near the Marmaris district of Muğla. It was one of the oldest harbour cities of the region and served as the administrative and logistical centre of the other nearby settlements; its name is held to mean 'city of nature' in the Carian language, derived from the area's rich natural features.
