Scepsis, or Skepsis, was an ancient settlement in the Troad at the site of the village of Kurşunlutepe, near Bayramiç in Çanakkale Province. It is notable as the place where the famous library of Aristotle was kept before being moved to Pergamum and Alexandria, and as the home of Metrodorus and Demetrius of Scepsis.
