Tlos is an ancient Lycian city near the Seydikemer district of Muğla and was one of the region's most important settlements. Beginning on the steep western slopes of the Akdağ (Kragos) mountains, the site extends down to the valley plain formed by the Eşen River; the Saklıkent Canyon to the south and the town of Kemer to the north marked the limits of its domain.
