Airai was a town of ancient Ionia near Erythrae, mentioned by Thucydides. It was a polis and a member of the Delian League, appearing in Athenian tribute records between 454/3 and 427/6 BCE. It lies near the village of Demircili on the north shore of the Gulf of Sığacık, in the Urla district of İzmir Province.
