Editor's Note
Gryneion was a city in the ancient region of Aeolis, lying 40 stadia from Myrina and 70 from Elaea. It held a sanctuary of Apollo with an ancient oracle and a temple of fine white marble, and Apollo took the epithet Gryneus from this city.
