Kaunos was an ancient city in the Caria region of ancient Anatolia, within the bounds of the Çandır neighbourhood of the Köyceğiz district of Muğla. Its well-known rock-cut tombs are most easily seen from the Dalyan neighbourhood in the Ortaca district.
