Editor's Note
Klazomenai was a historic Ionian city on the southern shore of the Gulf of İzmir, 38 km west of İzmir, within the bounds of Urla. Counted among the twelve Ionian cities, it is also the source of the name Kilizman used for the coast east of Urla.
