Cius was an ancient Greek city on the shore of the Propontis (Sea of Marmara), between Bithynia and Mysia. It later took its name from the Bithynian king Prusias I and is mentioned by writers such as Herodotus, Xenophon, Aristotle, Strabo and Apollonius Rhodius.

An ancient city at the head of a gulf on the Marmara shore, a little east of Gemlik in Bursa. Pliny reports it as a colony of Miletus, while Herodotus and Xenophon call it the Kios of Mysia. Its position made it the harbour of the interior and gave it great commercial weight; Pomponius Mela calls it the most convenient trading centre of Phrygia. In the war of 200-197 BC Philip V of Macedon destroyed the city and handed it to Prusias I of Bithynia, who refounded it under his own name as Prusias on the Sea. Only a few remains of the city and its harbour survive today.
