Editor's Note
The İlter Uzel Museum of Medicine and Dentistry, opened on 9 November 2020 in a two-storey historic mansion in Adana's Tepebağ neighbourhood, is Turkey's first dentistry museum. It is named after the medical historian and dentist İlter Uzel, who assembled the collection over 50 years from 1972. The roughly eight-thousand-piece holdings include antique medical and dental instruments, thousands of books, and items such as a cast of Atatürk's upper jaw and a molar said to belong to Enver Pasha.
