Cibyra (Kibyra), also called Cibyra Magna, was an ancient city near the town of Gölhisar in Burdur Province, set on hills overlooking the Gölhisar plain at the foot of the Akdağ massif. Lying just beyond the northwestern limits of ancient Lycia, it was the chief city of an independent state known as Cibyratis. Since 2016 it has been on Turkey's Tentative List of World Heritage Sites.
