A complex in the Hacıbektaş district of Nevşehir, used as a museum since 16 August 1964. It was founded in the 13th century by the Sufi scholar Haji Bektash Veli and took its present form through later additions and restorations. UNESCO placed the complex on its Tentative World Heritage List in 2012; with about 600,000 visitors in 2019, it was the eighth most-visited museum in Turkey.
