A private ethnography museum in the village of Tahtakuşlar near Edremit, founded in 1991 by retired primary-school teacher Alibey Kudar. Known as Turkey's first village museum, it is devoted to the culture of the Tahtacı (Oghuz) Turks, displaying household furniture, local attire, rugs and tents. In 1992 the works of painter and sculptor Selim Turan were added to its collection.
