Editor's Note
The Balıkesir National Photography Museum is Turkey's first photography museum. Exhibiting objects from the history of photography, it occupies a 150-year-old two-storey historic building and an adjacent new structure, and houses a special library known as the M. Emin Tan Photography Library. The museum includes exhibition halls, a machine-technology hall, a darkroom and a section displaying historic cameras.
