Aladağlar National Park, established in 1995, lies in southern Turkey across parts of the Yahyalı (Kayseri), Çamardı (Niğde), and Aladağ (Adana) districts. Part of the Anti-Taurus Mountains, its name means "Crimson Mountains," said to come from the rusty colour the peaks take on toward sunset. It covers about 55,000 ha at a high average elevation and is rich in flora and fauna.
