The Mor Hobil Mor Abrohom Monastery in the Midyat district of Mardin was founded in the 5th century AD by Mor Hobil and Mor Abrohom, who had studied at the Mor Gabriel Monastery. It contains two churches, a Syriac cemetery and a dome of the Virgin Mary, and remains in active use.
