Editor's Note
The Aksaray Museum was founded in 1969 in the Zinciriye Madrasa with finds gathered from the surrounding region. As excavations at sites such as Acemhöyük, Aşıklı Höyük, Musular and Güvercinkayası enlarged the collection, a new building was constructed in 2004. Its displays span from the aceramic Neolithic period to the Ottoman era.
