Editor's Note
The Museum of the Nationalist Forces in Balıkesir opened in 1996 in the former town hall, which had been used as a headquarters during the national struggle. It is dedicated to the Kuva-yi Milliye, the irregular forces formed as part of the Turkish National Movement during the Turkish War of Independence (1919-1923).
