Şahinkaya Canyon is in the Vezirköprü district of Samsun and forms the deepest point of the Altınkaya Dam reservoir. Regarded as Turkey's second-largest canyon after Ulubey Canyon, it is about 1,500 m long and 324 m high. It was declared a national tourism area in 2012 and a nature park in 2015, and can be toured by boat.
