Editor's Note
A castle ruin in the village of the same name, about 18 km northeast of Mersin. It is a small two-storey building of roughly 14 by 20 metres, with cut-stone outer walls and rubble inner walls, probably used as a watch post. Both the castle and the village (founded in 1902 for Cretan immigrants) are said to take their name from the Arab commander who built it.
