Editor's Note
The Datça Peninsula, known until 1928 as the Reşadiye Peninsula, is a narrow peninsula about 70-80 kilometres long in Muğla province. Separating the Gulf of Gökova from the Hisarönü, it lies where the Mediterranean meets the Aegean and is an important focus of nature and yacht tourism, with the town of Datça at its midpoint.
