Editor's Note
The Karaburun Peninsula extends north-south in the far west of Turkey, forming the northern part of the larger Urla-Karaburun-Çeşme Peninsula. Surrounded by the Aegean Sea and lying west of the city of İzmir, it shares its name with the town and district of Karaburun on it.
