Editor's Note
Divlit volcano is part of the Kula volcanic field in Manisa, lying on the Gediz Graben, one of the Aegean region's largest east-west tectonic depressions. The area's striking landforms were shaped by the combined action of volcanism, tectonics, rivers and weathering. Around the volcanic cones, lava plateaus and lava flows north of Kula, features such as fairy chimneys and badlands appear.
