Story
Standing on the seafront in Konak, the Ancient Theater of Smyrna is an important monument reflecting the cultural life of İzmir during the ancient Smyrna period. Built in the Hellenistic period, this theater was designed with a capacity of roughly 20,000 spectators, its cavea of marble tiers forming a magnificent structure that looks out over the Aegean Sea.
