Karagöl is a small lake in the Murgul district of Artvin, near the village of Damar. It lies at the foot of the 2,600-metre Mount Tiryal, in an area surrounded by forest and mountain meadows, about 18 km from the district centre. Its high altitude and lush surrounding vegetation make it one of the region's notable natural attractions.
