Located in the Osmangazi district of Bursa, Tophane Park is an important space that brings together the city's cultural heritage and modern recreational needs. Taking its name from this historic site, which served as a cannon and ammunition production center during the Ottoman period, the park was redesigned with a modern layout in 2015. With its broad green spaces, well-tended trees, and comfortable seating areas, it offers visitors a peaceful setting while forming a skyline in harmony with the surrounding historic buildings. The word 'Tophane' referred to military weapon and ammunition production centers in the Ottoman era; this center in Bursa was an important part of the city's military industry for more than two centuries. The 2015 redesign of the park is a successful example of preserving Bursa's cultural memory while creating a living recreational space. When visiting the park, it is best to come especially in the early morning or in the evening; at these hours both the cool air and the park's peaceful atmosphere can be experienced at their finest.
