Akgöl is a freshwater alluvial barrier lake in Sakarya, between the districts of Karasu and Ferizli. It formed from alluvium deposited by the nearby Sakarya River. Covering about 5.5 km², the lake is ringed by several villages belonging to Ferizli and Karasu.
