The Seyrantepe Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant stands in the Karakoçan district of Elazığ, on the Peri Çayı, a tributary of the Euphrates. Construction began in 2005 and the plant came online in September 2008. A clay-core rock-fill structure, it has an installed capacity of 56 MW, making it one of Elazığ's largest power stations.
