Editor's Note

The Kralkızı Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant lies on the Maden Stream, the main branch of the Tigris River, 81 kilometres from Diyarbakır and 6 kilometres from the Dicle district. It was built between 1985 and 1997 for power generation.
