Cape Helles is a headland at the south-western tip of the Gallipoli Peninsula, in the Eceabat district of Çanakkale. During the land battles of the Gallipoli Campaign it was the scene of many clashes between Ottoman and British forces. Its name derives from Helle, a character in Greek mythology.
