Editor's Note
Also known as Varagavank or the Varag Surp Khach Monastery, this historic Armenian monastery was built in the 8th century and lies in the village of Yukarı Bakraçlı near central Van. It was heavily damaged during the events of 1915, and most of it was demolished in the 1960s.
