Ali Pasha Mosque stands in the central square of Tokat and is known as one of the oldest mosques in the province. An Ottoman-period work, it was built in 1572 during the reign of Sultan Selim II. It is distinguished by its single dome and single minaret, with a centuries-old tree standing in front of it.
