Editor's Note
It stands in Barbaros neighbourhood of central Çandır, on the right side of the Boğazlıyan–Çandır road. It was built with two minarets by Şahruh Bey, son of Alauddevle Bozkurd Bey (1479–1515), the last great ruler of the Dulkadirid Beylik. Of the Şahruh Bey Mosque, only the western minaret survives. A new mosque has been built in place of the original. The minaret has a square base and a round shaft. The part of the minaret rising above roof level has a very short shaft, and the section up to the balcony is of brick.
