The structure is located in the Çalış neighbourhood of the Haymana district in Ankara Province, on parcel 67 of block 379 in the land registry, atop a hill to the southwest of the village. The remains at the hilltop are thought to belong to a lookout post or a cult site. Locally it is also called the "Kale" (Castle). The site has been damaged by illegal excavations.
