The tower is located in the Medrese neighbourhood of the Haymana district in Ankara Province, on parcel 42 of block 185 in the land registry, at the Yılan Hisar locality, to the south of the town. It is owned by the Treasury. The building remains identified by the council's experts belong either to a watchtower or a defensive tower. By the decision of the Ankara Regional Council for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage, dated 07.05.2021 and numbered 1217, the tower was declared an "Immovable Cultural Asset Requiring Protection" and registered in conservation group "1."
