Editor's Note
It stood in the square of the Agli district of Kastamonu, on Kale Avenue, in front of the Agli Municipality. After it was demolished, a new fountain was built in its place, and the inscription of the old fountain was set onto this new one. Reading: 1. And from water We made every living thing. 2. Water is the means of nourishment. 3. Year 1324. (The inscription was read by Salih Kahriman.) According to its inscription, the fountain was built in AH 1324 / AD 1906-07, and its patron and master builder are unknown.
