The Haznedar Bridge, in the Kabalı district of Sinop, stands at the point where the Haznedar Stream flows into the Black Sea, on the road running parallel to the coast east of Sinop. Based on its masonry technique and arch profiles, it is dated to the 13th century, a single-arched stone structure. Built of rough-hewn stone, the deck stones of the building have now been lost; the fact that its deck heads north toward the sea and ends at one point in the water raises the question of whether the structure was truly a bridge or served a different function.
