The Kerempe Lighthouse is a historic lighthouse in the village of Aydıncık in the Cide district of Kastamonu. Built in 1885 during the Ottoman period by the architect Michel Pasha, it is a complex of a masonry tower and a keeper's lodging. Standing 82 meters above sea level with a range of 20 nautical miles, the light was modernized over time with petroleum, butane gas and finally electric systems. The structure is today protected as national heritage.
