Editor's Note
It consists of a parapet formed from a circular earthen mound, together with two artillery rooms facing the courtyard and the gun emplacements between them. It was built between 1886 and 1888 by İsmail Hakkı Bey and the Fortification Commission. It is one of the 24 forts that formed Edirne's line of defense and encircled the city.
