This site lies within the boundaries of the Sarayakpınar township, central district, Edirne province. According to the two-line Arabic inscription in thuluth script on its rear face, the fountain was built of neatly cut stone by Muhammed son of Hacı İbrahim, and as understood from the four-line Turkish inscription in ta'liq script on its front face, it was repaired in 1882 by Hasan Ağa, the head baker. It is thought that its rear face may have been used as a namazgah (open-air prayer place). It was registered as Immovable Cultural Property Requiring Protection (Group 1) by the Edirne Regional Council for the Conservation of Cultural Property by decision no. 2673 dated 13.10.2015.
