Editor's Note
This mosque is located in Hasköy, in Havsa district. The original mosque is thought to have been built in the 15th century. The first mosque was completely destroyed in the 1752 earthquake, and the present mosque was built in its place. Of the original mosque, only a few stones of the mihrab survive. Today's building has a simpler appearance than the original. We can see the debris of the mihrab's five rows of muqarnas and a fragment of the upper crown of its surround. Its windows were built quite high. There is only a single upper window in the gallery, but even that is new. Rubble was used as the wall material.
