Lalapaşa Merkez Camii

This building lies in the town center of Lalapaşa. Originally a church, it was later converted into a mosque. Built of cut stone and brick on a rectangular plan, it runs along an east-west axis. It is roofed with a tiled wooden roof. The building's apse was demolished, and a small window with a segmental arch was opened in the east wall built in its place. The windows on the building's south façade remain open in their original form. There are also traces, on the western part of the façade, of a door most likely used by the church staff and walled up during the conversion to a mosque.
