Editor's Note
This structure lies within the boundaries of Hıdırağa village, central district, Edirne province. It is the largest section of the Taşlımüsellim water-supply system that Mimar Sinan built to meet Edirne's water needs during the construction of the soup kitchen, mosque and other facilities commissioned in Edirne in 1530 by Haseki Hürrem Sultan. Standing among bushes and trees, the aqueduct is 98 m long and 3.10 m wide and consists of seven pointed arches. Built of küfeki limestone blocks, it has two ventilation shafts.
