Editor's Note
Of the fountain, only the basin of its water reservoir and the inscription upon it survive today. The lost inscription read: This fountain is a charitable work of Rukiye Hatun, may it be acceptable to God; her parents devoted themselves to this good deed, may their works be blessed. 1324 (1926).
