Archival research indicates that the Helvacı Baba Mosque was a small mosque with a wooden roof, and that it was demolished in 1917 (AH 1336) because it had been abandoned and fallen into ruin. The Helvacı Baba Tomb is likewise said to have had a wooden ceiling. Of this group of buildings, only a single tomb structure, built with modern materials, survives today.
