Understood to lie in the central district of Edirne province, the exact location of this small mosque could not be determined. It was a stone mosque with a wooden roof and a stone minaret. [1] Rifat Osman Tosyavizade records that in his own day it was well maintained and open for worship, and that Hacce Hanım, the mother of the notable Şevket Bey, had it cared for and its deficiencies remedied. [2] Sources state that it stood at No. 5 on Ayşekadın Street in the Turgut Bazergan neighborhood, near the Defterdar Mustafa Paşa Mosque, and note that the neighborhood's name later changed in turn to Papazoğlu and then Bekce.
