It is located on Altunizade Street in the Talat Paşa neighborhood of central Edirne. The lodge was built in 1603 (AH 1012) by Ahmet, son of Hacı Hasip, in honor of Mehmed Koyun Baba. Having fallen into ruin by 1751 (AH 1165), the lodge was repaired by Mahmud II, who also had a small mosque built beside it. Its inscription, composed by the poet Örfî and no longer surviving today, was placed above the entrance gate after this restoration. It is known to have belonged to the Naqshbandi or Samarqandi order.
